12/365: decluttering |
I had a real wobble yesterday morning about the amount of stuff still to leave the house but I continued to sort out the stuff for the charity donation. My friend's son collected all of the donated items last night, 14 boxes and 9 bags, so I am left with the pile of stuff in the photo and another smaller pile currently in the living room ... that'll be in tomorrow's photo. Oh, and the old piano of course!
There are still quite a few music books, which my friend's son wasn't too keen on taking, so I will box those up and take them to one of the Oxfam charity shops to be sold on in one of their specialist music stores. The two boxes on the table will be returned to my late partner's family next time I see one of them, so it's just the rest that I need to deal with myself ... compared to how it looked before the donated items left the house, it doesn't feel quite so overwhelming and I'm feeling much more positive about it now.
I advertised the piano yesterday and made a start on photographing some of the things in the living room so I will carry on with that today, allowing a break for the nutrition club (which is a review of the key points covered during the 2021 sessions) and my weekly piano lesson.
The piano order is progressing. The store has instructed the specialist carriers so I am now waiting to hear from them to agree the delivery date. 😃😃
